Self-care for Givers

If you are in a type of service work where your job is to help others or if you simply like to give then you need to make sure that you are taking care of yourself first. If you are healthy and in a good mental state then you will have more to offer and will make a greater impact. It will also prevent burn out.
So how do we take care of ourselves?
1. Take time for yourself to do things that you enjoy.
2. Take care of your health by exercising, eating healthy, meditation, reading, practicing gratitude, journaling, spending quality time with others and getting enough sleep.
You don’t need to do all of the healthy habits that I mentioned above. Start by adding one of them into your routine. Start small and be consistent with it. Doing it at the same time each day will also help build the habit.
