Two A’s of Mindfulness
The two A’s of mindfulness is an easy way to understand mindfulness.
The first A is awareness. This means being aware of what is arising in this moment. When we are aware of what is arising we are living in the present moment. This is being aware of our:
*Environment
*Thoughts
*Feelings
The second A is acceptance. This is accepting what is happening in this moment just as it is. Without wishing that it was different or judging it.
*When we accept ourselves as we are then we cultivate our self-love.
*When we accept others as they are then we become more open-minded.
*When we accept what is arising in this moment then we develop inner peace.
