Creating a Flow State

Creating ‘flow’ can be a tricky thing. Flow is when you are “in the zone” or are fully immersed in an activity. These are states where you are at your best whether it is an athletic competition, doing a task at work or are spending time with someone else.

You can get yourself into a flow state when you are centered, relaxed and fully present. Basically, when you are mindful. So how do you get into a flow state?

* Do one task at a time. Give your full attention to what you are doing.

* Allow your body and intuition to take over. Oftentimes, when we get out of our head and just be, this is when we get into this state.

* Eliminate distractions.
