Remember Your WHY
In the book, Start with Why by Simon Sinek, he discusses when building a business and brand it is important to start with your why.
This is true with people as well. It is important that we start with our why and then consistently remind ourselves of this why. Why do I have this job? Is it just for the money or are there other reasons as well? Why do I belong to this particular club or do this activity? Why do I want a family? Your purpose: Why am I here?
The reason for this is that our why does two major things. It gives us motivation and direction. Remembering your why can get you up in the morning and keep you working hard. It can also make sure that you are heading in the right direction and don’t get sidetracked. If our why is to make a difference in people’s lives and our thoughts and actions are only about making money, then our why can get us back on track.
Take some time today to remind yourself of your why for the major areas of your life.
