One of the best skills that we can learn is how to motivate ourselves. This way we don’t just have to hope we feel motivated on a given day or rely on others to do it. We can make sure that we have the energy and focus to more consistently be at our best.

Motivation isn’t something that we either have or don’t have. It can be developed if we are intentional about it. Here are some ways that you can increase your motivation:

✨Have an exciting vision that you are striving for. This can be at work or outside of work. Once we have this then we are willing to put in the extra hours.

✨Know your why.
Why do I want to achieve this? Why = Motivation.

✨Surround yourself with others who are motivated. If we surround ourselves with high achievers, who are motivated then it will have a positive impact on us. The opposite is true as well.

✨Focus on your mindset. When you believe in yourself and your abilities then you will feel motivated to take action.

✨Build momentum. Start by having some small successes and build on those.

✨Take care of your physical body. When we are exercising, eating well and getting enough sleep we will have more energy and motivation.

✨Start a new habit. Our habits will help shape our mindset and energy level which will lead to increased motivation.

✨Reflect on past successes. It is good to reflect on these to show us what we are capable of doing.
